Go-MoJo-2018

GoMoJo is the quick and easy name for the 2018 Goal Journal Journey I have started 2 days ago at the very start of this FABULOUS New Year! And I am inviting you to join me on my journey! I will share my progress, my weekly prompts etc. etc. with you for free. I just want as many women as possible to set their goals for the year and work on them in a FUN way. So when I was contemplating how I was going to do it myself this 2018 (already bored with the same old same old planners, schedulers and such) I came up with my goal journal journey idea. Want to come and play along? (add your name in the box at the top of this page HERE)

For quite a while I have been feeling these vibes (and many of my friends and colleagues have been feeling this too) that 2018  is going to be an important, impactful year for us entrepreneurial women/women entrepreneurs.

So instead of resolutions for the New Year (they are usually abandoned too fast anyway)

I picked a few words for 2018 (and I like to understand the meaning as best as I can so I feel them more deeply, so I checked them out in the dictionary to be extra clear myself…do you do weird things like that as well?)

Independence/Freedom, Focus and Follow-through

independent   This is a HUGE word for me, it describes Freedom in the best way possible for me.

– ɪndɪˈpɛnd(ə)nt/   – adjective

1. free from outside control; not subject to another’s authority.
freethinking, individualistic, unconventional, maverick, free, liberated, bold, free-spirited
“entrepreneurs are independent spirits”
2. not depending on another for livelihood or subsistence.

focus   This is what I need to keep in front of my eyes , to stay the course and avoid shining objects and getting side tracked…..can you relate?

– ˈfəʊkəs/   – verb
1. adapt to the prevailing level of light and become able to see clearly
2. pay particular attention to.
Follow-through   more metaphorically, meaning I have to stick with what I set out to do and not get tempted to abandon my goals
– ˈfɒləʊ θruː/     – noun
1. continuation of the movement of a bat, racket, or club after striking a ball. A action or task to its conclusion.
Okay, so I got my 3 words and recite the words each morning. To keep the focus, to stay the track, to remind myslef of my goals. And I will add more on the way I know that already.
This first week the prompt is: “leave behind what does not serve in the New Year”
A simple start – title page. With an envelope to stick in little notes, safe keep or lock up things that you experienced in 2017 and want to leave there in that year, not to resurface again in this new year ahead. Find closure with the things that proved to be less benificial for you.
Let’s do this, let’s start !
I’ll close this post with some wise words by Dr. Seuss:
“Today you are YOU
That is truer than true
There’s no one alive
That is Youer than YOU!”
